About ETC+Yanev Risk Management

ETC, in partnership with Yanev, provides you with a complete earthquake risk management, engineering, and strengthening solution. ETC+Yanev provides consulting services such as risk assessment, development of risk mitigation strategies, cost-benefit analysis, equipment strengthening, design-build services, and construction related to all of the above. The Risk Management division serves the entire West Coast of the United States from our headquarters in Southern California and offices in Northern California.

ETC+Yanev provides a unique turnkey approach to risk management through the combination of Risk Assessment + Engineering + Construction. We specialize in the combination of experience- based earthquake risk management and construction and provide a unique service by helping companies both understand and prioritize their risks as well as offer a cost-effective construction solution to mitigate them.

ETC+Yanev have extensive experience with a wide range of structures such as public facilities, industrial, commercial and residential buildings, critical facilities such as power plants and hospitals, and public infrastructure. We use advanced analytical techniques to offer cost-effective, innovative solutions for our clients.

THE ETC+YANEV 3 PHASE EARTHQUAKE RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM

PHASE I - Conduct a Preliminary Risk Audit to estimate the risks and quantify potential damage and business / service interruption with approximate PMLs (Probable Maximum Loss).
Immediately strengthen critical equipment and other non-structural items to reduce potential business / service interruption. Reduce the risk dramatically using past experience of what actually happens to equipment and building contents during an earthquake.

PHASE II - Conduct a Detailed Risk Assessment of more complex systems, equipment, and structures. Develop options for additional strengthening (Risk Management Program) and provide a Cost-Benefit Analysis to prioritize and implement the risk management program.

PHASE III - Implement the Risk Management Program - Fix what make business sense using a combination of (1) Planning (insurance, retrofits, new construction, post- disaster operations, etc.) and (2) Construction (equipment, structures, etc.).
